Larry Eugene Elvick
Larry Eugene Elvick, 77, of Fort Stockton, Texas, took his eternal flight on Jan. 5, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation was held on Jan. 7, 2022, at Eternity Funeral Home in Fort Stockton.
A Life Celebration was held on Jan. 8, 2022, at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel with John McIntyre officiating. Burial followed at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were under Eternity Funeral Home.
Larry was born in Salina, Kansas, to Eugene Conrad Elvick and Frances Ann Everette on April 11, 1944. He went to school at Burk Burnett. He united with Frances Rodriguez in 2007 in Fort Stockton. He worked as a roughneck in the oil rigs, and after 50 years of service, he retired as a drilling consultant for Chevron.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Dwight Elvick.
Larry is survived by his wife Frances Rodriguez; sons Dwayne Elvick, David Elvick, and John McIntyre; grandchildren Payden Elvick and Jetty McIntyre; and siblings Karen E. Smith and Kenny Elvick. Other survivors include three stepdaughters, Delia Carreon, Edna Vargas, and Crystal Luna, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eddie Lopez, Aaron Leek, Tracey McNeil, Manuel Pacheco, Dee Meadors, and Johnny Barbee.
