Jose A. Maldonado Jr. entered rest on Dec. 13, 2020. He was born on June 9, 1937, to Jose and Gregoria Maldonado.

Jose was a member of Saint James Catholic Church. He worked thirty years for Austin Bridge and Road Inc. Prior to that he served in the Army and was proud of his expert marksman badge. After his retirement he devoted his time at Saint James Catholic Church and Santa Rita Cemetery. He loved to golf, fish and spend time with his family.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Gregoria Maldonado; his brother, Lorenzo Maldonado, Valentin Maldonado; his sisters, Mariana Esquivel, Delfina Vianes; and his daughter, Joanna Maldonado.

Jose is survived by his wife, Anita Maldonado; his son, Jose Victor Maldonado and wife Terry; his daughter, Rebecca Luevano and husband Steven; his brothers, Manuel Maldonado, Agustin Maldonado; his grandchildren, Joseph Sanchez, Isaiah Sanchez, Diego Luevano, Priscilla Gamez; his great grandchildren, Jaydin Castillo, Aria Castillo, Harlow Kilgore; and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held at 1 p.m.., Dec. 18, 2020, at Saint James Catholic Church. The service will be at 2 p.m.., Dec. 18, 2020, at Saint James Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Rita Cemetery.
