Felipe Y. Chavarria
Felipe Y. Chavarria, 87, of Fort Stockton passed away on Sunday, May 19, in Fort Stockton.
Visitation will be held from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at Eternity Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Isai Rodriguez of Torre Fuerte Church officiating. A burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
Felipe was born in Terlingua, Texas to Juan Chavarria and Cleotilde Ybarra on May 1, 1937. He attended Fort Stockton High School and later received his GED. He married Eva Villalva in 1958. He worked at Firestone Test Center as a maintenance and test driver where he retired from. He then went to work at Walmart for several years where he retired for the second time and last one.
Felipe is survived by his sons, Ruben (Lisa) Chavarria of Fort Stockton, Armando (Norma) Chavarria of San Antonio, Orlando (Catarina) Chavarria; his brother Ricardo Chavarria and sister Anita Gonzales; his grandchildren, Christopher Chavarria, Kacy Chavarria, Krystal Chavarria and Justyn Arellano; his great grandchildren Jordan, Noah and Jonah Chavarria, Catherine, Ismael III, Kayden and Kato Rodriguez.
Felipe is preceded in death by his parents Juan Chavarria and Cleotilde Ybarra, his son Benjamin Chavarria, his wife Eva Villalva Chavarria, his brothers Gregorio Chavarria and Flavio Chavarria and his sister Mauricia Garcia.
The pallbearers will be Christopher and Kacy Chavarria, Ismael Rodriguez, Orlando Escajeda, Salvador Rangel and Jaime Ramirez.
