David William Kuhn of Odessa, Texas, was born on Aug. 24, 1963, in Falls Church, Va., the third son of the late Thomas Edward Kuhn and Mary Walker Kuhn of Grandfalls, Texas. He was married to Katherine Baker Kuhn of Odessa. He entered the glory of heaven on July 13, 2022.

He retired as one of the owners of Odessa Data Company, a family-owned computer business. He was educated in schools in Virginia, Grandfalls, and at Odessa College. He was the salutatorian of his class in Grandfalls, and a member of the National Honor Society.

He served as an ordained deacon in First Presbyterian Church of Odessa. Other life-time activities include singing in the Midland-Odessa Symphony Chorale, and membership in various political organizations.

Mr. Kuhn is survived by his wife Kathy Kuhn; mother Mary Walker Kuhn; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Linda Kuhn, and Tom and Sandy Kuhn; several nieces and nephews; and many other members of the extended Kuhn and Walker families.

David is remembered most vividly for the intensity with which he pursued the things that interested him. His deep appreciation and knowledge of classical music were far beyond the ordinary. He also loved to travel, and was fascinated by all aspects of the travel industry. His knowledge of geography was phenomenal.

Those who knew him were always aware of the love he felt for people, for friends, and for family, and especially for his beautiful wife, Kathy. David Kuhn was a kind and generous man whose presence graced the world for far too brief a time. His passing is deeply felt.

Interment will be at the Tamarisk Cemetery near Grandfalls on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 9 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Grandfalls Union Church.

Memorial gifts may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Odessa, or to other recipients of your choice.
