Criselda (Cris) G. Rascón 74, peacefully departed April 20, surrounded by family.

Church services will be at St. Joseph’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Tuesday, May 28 at 9:00 a.m. and followed by the Ceremony burial at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton.

Criselda was born on November 5,1950, to Hipólito and Angelina Rascón in Fort Stockton Tx. Cris was a loving, caring, free-spirited person. She was very compassionate about her love for cats, Rango, Mia, Buster and Cluckers. Cris was dearly known as the Crazy Cat Lady by her nieces and nephews. To pass the time she enjoyed quilting blankets and painting her sand art on rocks. Cris graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1969 and continued her education in nursing. She worked as a LVN for 11 years at the Focused Care Nursing Home in Fort Stockton. Criselda is survived by Susana Rascón of Fort Stockton, Hipólito Jr. Rascón of Fort Stockton, David (Ana) Rascón of Castroville, and Daniel Rascón of Leander and lifelong friends Kevin Sheehan of Leander and Micheal Reyes of El Paso. Criselda is preceded in death by her parents Hipólito and Angelina Rascón, sister Ernestina Sanchez, her bothers Joel Rascón and Ramon Rascón. Nephews Tony Fierro and Martín Fierro; great niece Justine Perez.
