Consuelo Rodriguez Tarin
Consuelo Rodriguez Tarin, 94, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed from this life on March 5, 2022. She was born on Feb. 16, 1928, to Antonio and Dolores Rodriguez in DuBose, Texas. Consuelo was married to the late Rumaldo G. Tarin, who passed away in 2019. They were married for 72 love-filled years.
Consuelo took great joy and pride in being a homemaker, wife, and mother. Her family was the most important part of her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared with all the generations of her family. So, of course all her hobbies involved making pretty things for her home, and for those she loved. Consuelo enjoyed spending time sewing, embroidering, and gardening. She had a strong faith, and loved attending the Jehovah’s Witness Church, where she was a member, as much as she was able.
Consuelo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rumaldo G. Tarin; siblings Rosendo Rodriguez, Pablo Menies, Alvino Rodriguez, and Andrea Rodriguez; and son-in-law, Christoval Salas.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Delores Tarin Rios and husband Juan, Anastacia Tarin Rosas and husband Rene, Maria Tarin Salas, and Elva Tarin Guevara and husband Joe; brother Vicente Rodriguez; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was March 7-8, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend in Fort Stockton. Funeral service was March 9, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend Chapel in Fort Stockton. Internment will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
