Bobby Don Cardwell, 86, of Fort Stockton, Texas, peacefully passed away on Feb. 1, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 2, 1934, to Hal and Irene Cardwell in Celeste, Texas.

Bobby was a God-fearing man who never met a stranger. He always lit up the room with his smile wherever he was. Family gatherings were always fun because we could count on him to make everyone laugh. Bobby was the most loving husband, father, and papaw who will be greatly missed by all. 

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Kay Cardwell of Fort Stockton; one brother, Hal Cardwell; sisters Gracy McCormick and Hallie Fish; sons Ronny and Shelly of Angleton, Texas, Gerry and Donna Cardwell of Kaufman, Texas, Dwayne and Carmen Cardwell of Texas City, Texas; daughters Mary Knowels of Highland, Texas, Angie and Ron Hunley of Frankston, Texas, Tonia and Mike Baker of Benton, Mo., Melonie and Wayne Turner of Pearland, Texas, Rechelle and Manny Garcia of Fort Stockton, Shareen and Shane Creekmore of League City, Texas, and Charity and David Baker of League City; 36 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Hal and Irene Cardwell, his first wife Lavern Cardwell, brothers Jerry and Glen Cardwell, and sisters Barbra Sampson and Jeanie Vieira.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, in Seabrook, Texas, at New Life Praise Center. Viewing for the family will be from 4-5 p.m., and open to the public from 5-6 p.m., with funeral services to proceed at 6 p.m.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, in Tyler, Texas, at the Tyler Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
