Loved Arcilia Nieto Garza, a resident of Fort Stockton, Texas, was born Aug. 4, 1941. Arcilia was called home by Our Lord on March 17, 2021. She was 79.

Ms. Garza graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1961. She was a Sul Ross State University graduate at 52. She was an English as a second language educator in El Paso, Texas, and Presidio, Texas.

Arcilia loved dancing, culture, books, and music. She was a lifelong Catholic and Democrat.

Arcilia was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Nieto and Maria Garcia-Nieto; her brother Juan Jose Nieto; and nephew Israel Anthony Nieto-Boswell.

Arcilia is survived by her sons Felix Garcia, Efriam Anthony, Eric Martin, Dirk James, and John Aaron Garza; her daughter Ramona Delores “Dottie” Garza; her brothers Francisco “Kiko,” Ismael, Roy, and Jaime Nieto; her sisters Mary Elida Nieto-Boswell, Anabel Nieto-Weber, Norma Nieto-Terrazas, and Evelyn Nieto; and her grandchildren Lauren Danielle, Liliana, Aunec Yanassi, and John Aaron Garza, Jr.

Arcilia will be eternally loved and missed dearly.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday March 27, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend, 301 North Main Street, Fort Stockton. A graveside service will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery at noon.
