The Fort Stockton High School Blue Wave swimmers ended their season Saturday at the regional swim meet in Andrews. The shining star for Fort Stockton was senior Arissa Jimenez.

Jimenez took first in the 50-yard freestyle consolation heat, winning the race by more than three seconds.

“A sensational start combined with a tremendous streamlined glide gave the gritty senior the winning edge that could not be overcome by the competition,” coach Michael Dupre said.

Jimenez also joined forces with freshman Serina Garza, junior Aviana Vargas and junior Zeeta Celaya to score points for the girls 200 free relay team.
