Fort Stockton residents paying for city sanitation services will soon be able to get rid of select bulk items free of charge starting next week. The City of Fort Stockton will begin their annual Fall Clean-up on Monday, Oct. 31 and provide curbside pickup services. The community clean-up event will end on Thursday, Nov. 10.

Residents are asked to call 432-336-8525 to schedule for pickup if possible. Bulk items that will be accepted include tree limbs, wood, scrap metal, furniture, small appliances, mattresses, carpet, and tires. Items must be separated before arrival and place them at the appropriate designated areas at the City Landfill. Tires accepted must be whole and must not have rims on them. All loads must be covered. Items not accepted are junked vehicles, construction debris, oil filters, batteries, petroleum products & byproducts, explosive materials, medical waste, liquid waste, paint, refrigerator, washing machines, and stoves.

The clean-up event is not for commercial customers or any other businesses. Due to the landfill waste acceptance limits set by TCEQ, each county precinct will be limited to 20 tons per day.
