Freshman Gerardo Diaz made the most of his move up to the junior varsity squad last week in the Panthers matchup with Crane. And so did his teammate Jaxon Norman.

Diaz scored three rushing TDs and Norman added a pair of scorers on the ground in their team’s 34-14 victory. Junior varsity coach Zack Roberson noted that his team’s defense was a key ingredient to their success during the contest on Sept. 15.

“Defensively we swarmed the Golden Cranes all night. Our boys fought hard all night and never gave up,” he said.

The junior varsity Panthers improved to 4-0 with the win.
