The Texas Department of Public Safety reported on Sunday that a 40-year-old Fort Stockton woman died in a rollover accident on Friday, Feb. 12 on U.S Highway 67 at mile marker 810 – 26 miles northeast of Fort Stockton.

Lorena Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-car crash that happened at 6:55 a.m.

The preliminary investigation indicates Ramirez left the road and over corrected in a Nissan Armada while traveling at an unsafe speed in foggy and wet conditions on the highway that has a 75 miles per hour speed limit.

Ramirez was wearing a seatbelt and the only person in the vehicle.
