FM 1053 is back open after being closed for nearly five days due to significant rainfall that caused a crack (where the big dip is on the highway).

"Thanks to repair work by the Monahans Maintenance crew and some help from a few other district employees," said Gene Powell, Texas Department of Transportation Odessa District's Public Information Officer.
