Who are the silent heroes for the City of Fort Stockton? They are the ones that are making sure the ship is running smoothly, day in and day out.

During the Feb. 28 Fort Stockton City Council meeting, City Manager Frank Rodriguez recognized a handful of city employees for their commitment to serving the small-town community.

These employees included: city secretary Marina Cantu, director of finance Maria Rodriguez, human resources director Sara Mata, sanitation supervisor Efrain Acosta, supervisor Carlos Ibarra, crew leader Alfredo Armendarez, craftsman Salvador Cabello, craftsman Jesus Gonzalez, craftsman Petrolino Salinas.
