Sophomore duo Athena Gomez and Jaslyn Pacheco finished the Big Spring Invitational on March 4 with silver medals in hand. Fort Stockton head coach Victor Garcia explained that the pair have made significant strides through hard work since the beginning of the season and that they continue to strive to play at their best week in and week out.

“They’ve shown improvement at each and every tournament, only achieving better results than the last,” he said.

The girls doubles team placed second after defeating Greenwood and Pecos in route to a championship appearance. The duo were the only medalists for Fort Stockton.
