One of the most popular costumes this Halloween in Fort Stockton is of a clown. As the winner of the costume contest, this colorful clown holds her chocolate cake prize with pure joy.

Dressed up as the dalmation puppy from the PAW Patrol TV series, the third-place winner was given one of the last pumpkins from the patch for his prize. But, he was more interested in his orange balloon.
Creativity was flowing Saturday afternoon. While the judges evaluated a swarm of pumpkin canvases including smiley faces and ocean scenery, the winner of the pumpkin painting contest showed incredible detail in his take on a cat.

Ahead of the Halloween holiday, the First United Methodist Church held a community-wide Pumpkin Party in Fort Stockton on Oct. 30.

Families with children were invited to attend in their favorite costumes. From cupcake walks to ring toss games and decorating pumpkins with paint and glitter, there was something for everybody.

As a part of the event, judges recognized the top three costumes and best painted pumpkin at the party.

To maintain a thriving relationship with the Fort Stockton community, the church hosts these kinds of events at least once a month.
