Henry Gonzales, 67, of Fort Stockton, Texas, left us to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Aug. 3, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother Rosa Gonzales; grandparents Pedro and Refugia Vijil-Gonzales; brothers Alonzo Gonzales and Luis Hernandez; sister Arceila Marquez; and great grandson German Carrasco. 

Henry is survived by his former wife Josie Casas Gonzales, the mother of his children; son Henry Gonzales, Jr. (Amanda), from Frisco, Texas; daughters Virginia Gonzales from San Antonio, Texas, Valerie Gonzales (Arron Sanchez) from Lubbock, Sonya Salcido (Heriberto) from Odessa, Texas, and Vanessa and Jessica Gonzales from Odessa; grandchildren Layla/Gavin Gonzales, Baylee/Maximus Pirtle, Ava/Abraham Sanchez, Heriberto, Cynthia, Marissa, Emma, and Sonya Salcido; and great grandchildren Cesar Carrasco, Athena and Penelope Salcido, Ethan and Aureli Luna Guebara, and Leela Rose Velasco.  

He is also survived by his siblings Enriqueta Martinez/Felix from San Antonio, Texas, Diana Serrano/Edwin from San Antonio, Orlando Gonzales and Ninfa Colunga from Fort Stockton, Rudy Gonzales/Margie from Fresno, Calif.,  and Maria Gonzales from Lake Worth, Fla. Henry was also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, with rosary from 2-3 p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Following will be a service atAlpha Omega Church from 4-5 p.m.

Henry was born and raised in Fort Stockton, lived in Odessa for many years, then returned home. Henry will be missed and always remembered by his children, family, and friends who love him dearly. His grandchildren especially will miss talking to grandpa and always laughing with him.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to San Joseph’s Catholic Church and/or Alpha-Omega Church on Butz Street in Fort Stockton.
