In a truly exceptional reflection of Thanksgiving and community service, the remarkable success of an annual Thanksgiving meal outreach event continues to grow in scale. This community-driven project was started approximately 14 years ago by Olga Gonzalez and focuses on providing full, hot Thanksgiving meals to the elderly residents of Fort Stockton.

On November 13, Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) introduced the Rural Veterans Dental Care Act. This legislation would establish a pilot program to deliver dental care to veterans living in rural areas through mobile delivery methods, such as fully equipped dental vans.
