The Pecos County Commissioner’s Court held its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday morning, September 9. During this meeting the court approved to designate Grant Works as the grant management firm and administration provider firm to represent the county in the application for the community development grant program from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

GARDENER’S MAILBAG Dear Neil, this little weed is taking over my Asian jasmine. It now covers a section that’s 12 ft.

HEAD OVER MEALS Living in southwest Texas, hot sauce or salsa is a staple in most households—at least it is in mine. If I do not have at least a couple of diverse types of salsas and/or hot sauce in my refrigerator, my food feels almost naked.
