Wednesday’s vaccine clinic open to 16 and older with pre-existing condition

For the first time since COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Fort Stockton, ages 16 and older with at least one pre-existing condition will have an opportunity to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Pecos County Memorial Hospital will have a vaccine clinic at the Civic Center starting at 9 a.m. Individuals 65 and older with a pre-existing condition will can arrive starting at 9 a.m.

People who receive the shot can live outside Pecos County, along with those who live in the county.

Individuals 16 and older with a pre-existing condition can arrive after at 11 a.m.

PCMH has 498 Pfizer Vaccines entering tomorrow’s vaccine clinic and they will be given on a first come, first serve basis until they are gone.

The PCMH waiting list no longer exists as everyone on it has received a vaccine or got one elsewhere.

There have been 1,521 people who have received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine thus far by PCMH. Of those 1,521 people, 393 have received their second dose.

Last week there was 467 Moderna vaccines administered as first-time doses.

That adds up to a total of 2,381 vaccines that have been given by PCMH since they started to receive them in mid-December.
