TEEA to host Senior Celebration May 6
All Pecos County residents age 55 and over are invited to the Senior Celebration at the Large Community Hall this Friday, May 6, for a free luncheon and presentation by several senior services.
The event starts at 10:00 am, including the free lunch, and is sponsored by the Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA). It is free to all Pecos County seniors.
There will be a special appearance by musician and storyteller Sue Roseberry at the celebration.
TEEA raises money for area 4-H scholarships and leads classes at Pecos County 4-H chapters to teach sewing, cooking, and other skills, as well as hosting regular Lunch and Learns. Roseberry is Executive Director of the Midland Storytelling Festival and a professional storyteller for the past 25 years.
The Texas Extension Education Association will be serving the free lunch and drinks, providing the entertainment from Sue Roseberry, as well as handing out several door prizes.
