Fort Stockton Community Theatre will hold tryouts for young people second grade through high school for its production of  “A Christmas Story,” written by Philip Grecian. Reba Subia will direct the play which will be performed Thursday. Dec. 8 through Sunday, Dec.11.

At least 15 young people are needed to perform or to work backstage. Tryouts will be Sunday, Oct. 2, from 3-4:30 p.m. and again on Monday, Oct. 3, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Nelson Street Theatre.

Students do not have to stay the full time. There will be some paperwork to fill out, and students will be asked to read onstage. Rehearsals will be on Sunday afternoons beginning Sunday, Oct. 9. Weekday rehearsals will start in November.

If a student cannot attend either of the tryout dates, call Reba Subia at 432-290-2947 to arrange another time.

The Christmas Story cookie sale will take place Dec. 10-11. Gift boxes of cookies make great appreciation or friendship presents.
