Fort Stockton man charged with intoxication manslaughter

A Fort Stockton man is being charged with intoxication manslaughter after a two-car crash that killed two people on Jan. 22 according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Fort Stockton resident Enrique Enriquez, 39, was traveling west on FM 3472 in a Dodge Charger – just outside of Odessa City Limits – when he entered the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with another Dodge Charger at 11:50 p.m.

Fort Stockton resident Jeannie Marie, 40, who was a passenger riding with Enriquez, was transported to Medical Center Hospital before being pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle heading eastbound, Mia Jocelyn, 21, of Odessa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enriquez in currently is serious condition as of 2:45 p.m. on Monday according to DPS.

DPS reported on Monday afternoon that the preliminary investigation revealed evidence of intoxication of the driver. As a result of the preliminary evidence, the driver has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
