The number of confirmed COVID-19 active cases hit a two-week low on Oct. 11 as 25 cases were reported – 10 lower than the day prior.

That number rose to 32 on Oct. 12 after nine additional positive tests were reported. The 32 active cases are the lowest active case total since Sept. 27.

Over the past week there has been 29 new active cases reported and 42 recoveries. The recovery rate decreased the active case number from 47 on Oct. 5 to 32 on Oct. 12.

Since July 28, there have been 301 vaccine-eligible people test positive for COVID-19 and of that group, 242 were not vaccinated (80%).

A total of 63 people received their first COVID-19 vaccine shot this past week and 120 additional people became fully vaccinated with a second shot. There were 74 people that received a booster shot this past week.

The totals move the one-shot vaccinated percentage in the county for eligible residents to 73%, fully vaccinated to 62%, and booster shots to 3%.
