Voter ballots and the location they vote at may be different for the upcoming election due to the most recent census.

The census caused changes to the city’s school wards and Pecos County precincts.

“We had information on voting precinct changes by early part of January and we mailed out new voter cards by Jan. 15. The school wards had changes too. We got this information later in February,” said Santa Acosta, Pecos County Tax Assessor / Collector. “We had to mail out new cards for the school ward changes. So now, our voters are asking why they got a second voter card. Please use the last card you received when you come to vote.”
