Texas State Senator César J. Blanco has expressed concern over recent escalations in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, calling for more focused enforcement and urging comprehensive immigration reform.

In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching his favorite football team, the Baltimore Ravens, and spending quality time with his family.

The Fort Stockton High School Class of 1965 will celebrate its 60th reunion the weekend of July 25-27 with a series of events for classmates and friends. Festivities begin Friday, July 25, at 6 p.m.

The Pecos County Senior Citizens Center will hold a hot dog lunch at noon Friday, July 11, offering a belated Independence Day celebration for members and guests. The meal will feature grilled hot dogs with assorted toppings, allowing attendees to customize their hot dogs, whether Chicago- style or Coney Islandinspired.

This weekend the Pecos County Amateur Radio Club participating in one of the largest amateur radio events in North America—Field Day— hosted by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). The public was invited to visit the club’s operating station, set up outside the Fort Stockton Visitors Center and Chamber of Commerce, from Saturday through Sunday, as members take on a 24-hour challenge to test their skills, equipment, and emergency communication capabilities.
