A familiar face around Fort Stockton, Steven M. Walker, an artist who has called the city home for the last six years, has recently earned a place in the renowned art gathering known as Chinati Weekend.

The Pecos County Commissioners Court met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday September 23. During this meeting, after the commissioners approved the minutes of previous meetings, they approved a contract between Buena Vista ISD and the Pecos County Elections Administrator for the upcoming November 5 election.

The Fort Stockton Public Library will be hosting a quilting show from October 21 through November 1. Local quilting extraordinaries like Vicki Parker, Phyllis Smith, Wanda McGovern and Pat Cox will be featured with their masterful work.
