Karisa Ann Little Red” Raines, 21, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed from this life on March 15, 2022, in a tragic accident outside of Andrews, Texas. Karisa was born on Feb. 5, 2001, in Denton, Texas, parents are Gary and Sandy Raines.

Karisa graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 2019. She excelled in academics and athletics. She was an outstanding golfer, and had a determined work ethic to match her talent. She was attending the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, N.M., on a golf scholarship. She was scheduled to graduate on May 14, 2022, with a bachelors degree in biology. She was planning to stay at USW for another year to obtain a masters in forensic biology. 

Outside of school and golf she always made her faith and love for Christ a priority. In Fort Stockton from the time as a young girl to the time she graduated from high school she was very active in her youth group. Karisa made a lasting impression on so many in all walks of her life. From her hometown, golf, University of the Southwest, and church, she meant so much to so many. She will be greatly missed by all.

Karisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Fletcher and Addie Wood, and John and Betty Raines.

Those left to honor and cherish her beloved memory are her parents Gary and Sandy Raines; twin brother Kasey Raines, brother Jeff Roberson; sisters Nikki Faulkner and Shannon Roberson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Roberson, Kasey Raines, Shannon Roberson, Tara Sanchez, Andrew Franco, and Ethan Ezell. Honorary pallbearers will be Lea Daggett and David Kennedy.

A memorial service in celebration of Karisas life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Fort Stockton High School Special Events Center with Dr. Rev. Jim Miles officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend in Fort Stockton.
