Oct. 14

The Fort Stockton Volleyball team will host Pecos on Friday, Oct. 14. Varsity will play at 5 p.m. followed by JV and freshman at 6 p.m.

Oct. 14

The Fort Stockton football team will host rival Monahans on Friday, Oct. 14 starting at 7 p.m.

Oct. 14-15

The Big Bend Open Road Race 2.0 and road race parade will be held on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15. The parade will take place on Dickinson Boulevard and Main Street on Friday, Oct. 14 starting at 5:30 p.m.

Oct. 21

Trunk or Treat will be held at the Fort Stockton Convention Center at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 21-22

The Fort Stockton Convention Center will host The Picture Show’s House of Horror costume contests, free dance, and haunted house from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 to Saturday, Oct. 22. The costume contest will take place on Oct. 21, live music will be played both days by Nicholas Antonio. The haunted house will be available both days with vendors. A special showing the 1978 ‘Halloween’ movie will be shown at Panther Pictures on both days at 11 p.m.

Oct. 22

The Marathon 2 Marathon will take place on Oct. 22. Registration deadline is Oct. 21 from 4-7 p.m. in the Marathon Community Center. Divisions will include the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K.

Oct. 28-29

The Horsehead Crossing Trails of Time living history event will take place on Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29. The location of the event is 12 miles northwest of Girvin on FM-11 (between Girvin and Imperial). Activities taking place include liven cannon fire re-enactors, chuck wagon meals, exhibitors, trail ride, historians and presenters, and chuck wagon contest.
