Be Cool/Stay Cool Summer Camp begins on June 13
Fort Stockton Community Theatre announces its third annual Be Cool/ Stay Cool Summer Theatre Camp for youth aged from end of Kindergarten to end of eighth grade.
The camp will run at the Nelson Street Theatre, 102 South Nelson St., from Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 24 from 1-4 p.m. each afternoon.
The cost of the camp is $20 per student, and there will be a discount for members in the same family.
This year’s camp will be led by Emma Morales, Ruben Gonzales, and Alice Duerksen. Depending on the number of students attending, a play will be performed at the end of the camp. Students will learn stage skills. They will learn to be comfortable on stage and to present themselves with confidence in front of an audience. They will learn how to work with others on a project and the fun in presenting an entertaining story on stage. The youth of Fort Stockton Community Theatre are called The Paisano Players, and they are the life and future of theatre in Fort Stockton.
There must be at least ten students enrolled in order for the camp to be held. For more information and to register call Alice Duerksen at 336-3180. Be Cool/Stay Cool at FSCT!
