The Pecos County Commissioners Court held a lengthy regular session Monday to address a wide-ranging agenda that included national commemorations, funding for weather modification, and significant infrastructure improvements. Judge Joe Shuster opened the meeting by reading a proclamation from the Pecos County Historical Commission to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026.

Freshman Students Explore College-to-Career Pathways at WRTTC

Last week, on February 18, 2026, freshman students from Fort Stockton High School participated in a college-tocareer tour at Midland College’s Williams Regional Technical Training Center (WRTTC), gaining hands-on exposure to programs that connect high school learning to real-world careers.
