The American College of Emergency Physicians reports that each year there are hundreds of fatalities and countless emergency department visits due to heat-related illnesses.

Daniels earns Lonestar FFA Degree

The Fort Stockton FFA recognized Hunter Daniels for passing the state degree check and earning the Lone Star Degree. Hunter will have the opportunity to receive his Lone Star Degree on stage at the 95th Texas State Convention. Senior center offers Zumba classes

The Pecos County Senior Center is also offering Zumba classes on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. However, because the Fourth of July falls on the first Tuesday of July, for this month only it will be held on the second Tuesday. Leticia Gaylor leads the Zumba Chair Gold classes which are specially tailored for senior citizens as seated exercises.
