Bond projects in the works at Fort Stockton

The Fort Stockton ISD bond funds have been put to use in a rapid manner since the past November and May election. More significant renovations and additions to the district will be occurring in the months ahead.
The Fort Stockton High School football field and track is scheduled to receive a complete makeover before the beginning of fall football camp. The new track will have an added eighth lane and will change from the color red to blue. Gene Cummings Park renovations continue

Work is continuing the revitalization of Gene Cummings Park, and the latest is the purchasing of irrigation equipment for water reclamation, bathroom improvements and pavilion renovations, approved by the Fort Stockton 4-B Economic Development Corporation at its February meeting. A public hearing on the item was without opposition.

Fort Stockton volleyball head coaching search underway

A search for a new volleyball head coach at Fort Stockton High School is currently underway as the resignation of Gabrielle Harral was announced in the district’s Feb. 27 board packet.

Harral steps away from the program after a two-year tenure as the Prowlers head coach.

The Odessa native made the decision following the birth of her son Luke Harral on Oct. 26, stating that she hopes to return to coaching in the future but will now cherish motherhood with her firstborn.
