As warmer temperatures begin to prevail here in the last frontier, food choices begin to change as well. Instead of the heavier and heartier fare we tend to eat during the colder months such as soups and casseroles, our food choices lean towards things like fish tacos and salads.

Track team makes strides at West of the Pecos Relays

Fort Stockton senior Zane Hodges remained undefeated and the Panther varsity track team won seven events to place second at the West of the Pecos Relay on March 3. Fort Stockton accumulated 154 team point, ending 48 points behind Seminole and 74 points ahead of third-place finisher Brownfield.

Prowlers drown Maidens

Ivanna Ortiz had three hits, including a double, and scored three runs as the Fort Stockton Prowlers improved to 12-4 on the season with a 10-0 run-rule win over San Angelo Lake View’s Maidens, Tuesday evening in Fort Stockton. A 4-run outburst in the bottom of the second broke the game open as Fort Stockton scored single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings to grab a 7-0 lead heading into the sixth, when the Prowlers ended the nondistrict contest with three more runs.
