Flying is elegantly simple

Body
I’ve been thinking about airplanes because I will be flying again for the first time since COVID came into our lives. Modern airliners are incredibly complicated machines, and the engineering required to lift a 700,000-pound jet off the ground is mind boggling. The amount of work that goes into designing, building, and testing a new plane is so massive it can take a decade or longer.
