Apache, Alamo realign grade levels

Starting this upcoming school year, the Alamo and Apache Elementary Schools in Fort Stockton will have distinct grade levels. Previously, both campuses featured pre-kindergarten through third grade classrooms.

The Classic Man held a grand opening event on July 9 at their location in downtown Fort Stockton at 100 W Callaghan St. The chamber of commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the local business. The Classic Man held its soft opening on April 24 of this year. The business represents a part of the revitalization of the downtown area in the past few years. Courtesy Photo
GRAND OPENING

City Council commits funds for recreation study

Body
The second of three financial commitments needed to complete the new recreational facility study was approved on Tuesday at the Fort Stockton City Council meeting. Recreation Board Director Ruby Bernal requested $7,000 from the city for the study that is set to be a joint venture between the county, city, and school district.
