The Fort Stockton Panthers Powerlifters competed at the area’s last chance qualifier meet on Feb. 23 at Pecos High School.

Leeland Ibarra led the Panthers with a first-place finish in the 148-pound class and Jovanny Hernandez followed with a runner-up finish at 181 pounds.

Third place finishers included: Christian Dominguez (132 pounds), Jose Hernandez (181 pounds), Allan Leyva (198 pounds).

Fourth place finishers were: Jose Sarabia (220 pounds), Ethan Jimenez (242 pounds), Oasis Webb (308 pounds).

Mario Morales took sixth at 123 pounds.

The next meet for the Panthers will be in Abilene on March 11.
