Cranberries and Thanksgiving

Body

Thanksgiving is just one week away. Many of the readers of Karan’s Korner are getting ready to prepare the traditional Thanksgiving meal, and looking for new ideas to add spark and new interest to the old standby meal items. One item I would not do without is cranberries.
When I see cranberries, I just know the holiday season has started. It reminds me of cold weather, family time, and carefree moments as a child. You can use them in baked goods, in sauces, as drinks, cooked with meat, or even strung up with popcorn to go on a Christmas tree.

A good month to grow a beard

Body
November has arrived, and things are going to really get hairy now. Every November, two charitable organizations I like, Movember and No-Shave November, raise funds by encouraging people to not cut or shave their hair.

A winning idea for Americans and their dogs

Body
Our elected representatives in Washington produce bad ideas like cows produce methane. But if Congress really wants to do something to make the lives of Americans better – and remember, I said “if” – I have an idea.

Part two: Thanksgiving in Colossians

Body
In the Bible we find a book titled Colossians. It is a letter that was written by the Apostle Paul to the local church at Colossae. The local church by definition is a group of baptized believers who are committed to God and to one another to regularly gather to take the Lord’s Supper, see others baptized, to pray, preach and sing God’s Word.

Not too early to plan your Thanksgiving meal

Body
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and it’s not too early to start planning your Thanksgiving meal. Many families have traditional items or family favorites. One of the harvest of the fall is pumpkins. There are many ways to prepare pumpkins. Onehalf cup of pumpkins provides an excellent source of vitamin A and good source of vitamin C.

Big brother, pocket book and privacy

The Biden Administration’s “Build Back Better Plan” is currently sitting at a hefty 2,500 pages – more than 100 times larger than The Communist Manifesto, a 23-page pamphlet. And the proposed spending would make even Marx and Engels blush.

Facebook aiding and abetting the southern border invasion

Body
Facebook, the tech giant famous for censoring posts that promote political views opposite to its perspective, recently admitted that its users are aiding and abetting illegal immigration. Responding to a letter sent by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Facebook acknowledged it allows online users to share information that advises how to immigrate illegally and, alternatively, how to hire human traffickers to smuggle aliens into the U.S.
