Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, November 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., in Victoria, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 2, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Yolanda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert M. Ontiveros, Sr.; her son, Robert D. Ontiveros, Jr.; her daughter, Marie Garcia; her grandsons, Joshua L. Garcia and Joseph P. Garcia; her granddaughter-in-law, Dominique Amador; and her sister, Gloria J. Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricardo G. Davis, and her sister, Grace A. Urias.
Family was the cornerstone of Yolanda’s life, and her grandchildren brought her immense joy. A dedicated Catholic, she cherished her daily rosary prayers and made it a priority to include others in her prayers. She enjoyed conversing with family and friends over the phone throughout her day and treasured the quality time spent with her husband following his retirement. Yolanda held a deep hope that upon her passing, she would reunite with her brother, SFC Ricardo G. Davis, who served three tours in Vietnam as a MAC/SOG and was declared missing in action in 1969, with no recovery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at DeTar Hospital and Pam Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria South.
They also wish to thank the nurses and doctors at DaVita Victoria Dialysis Center, as well as the dialysis team at DeTar Hospital.
