Juanita Delgado, 69, left us to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ on Aug. 9, 2021. She was born on June 12, 1952, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Nicholas Cruz and Guadalupe Cruz, and raised by Alonzo Martinez and Andrea Martinez.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Jose Luis Delgado, Sr.; her father Nicolas Cruz; and her mother Guadalupe Ruiz.

Juanita is survived by her son Jose Luis Delgado, Jr., and wife Jasmine of Midland, Texas; grandchildren Jade Skyy Delgado, Jennika Aurora Delgado, Jose Luis Delgado III and Jenesis Luna Delgado; her siblings Maria and Michael Bourassa, Martha Holgin, Mathew Martinez, Mark and wife Gosha Martinez, Vicky and husband Shawn Jacob, Manuel and wife Maria Cruz; and nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed watching Western movies. Her favorite actor was Tom Selleck. She liked doing puzzles, listen to Yanni and Juan Gabriel, and teaching the grandkids to sing nursery rhymes, count numbers, and make them laugh. She loved to have conversation with family members. She was always overprotective to all her family and friends.

Her loving heart and smile will forever be remembered and adored by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, from 1-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend, 301 North Main Street in Fort Stockton. Rosary will be from 7-8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Fort Stockton.
