Hollyce D’Layne (Ward) Johnson
On April 2, 2022 our Heavenly Father called Hollyce D’Layne (Ward) Johnson to eternal rest. Holly was born in Anadarko, Okla., on Aug. 31, 1956, to Odas Lee and Jacky Ward.
While Holly was in her primary years, she moved with her family to Fort Stockton, Texas, where she graduated from Fort Stockton High School, class of 1974. Later she attended Sul Ross State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in special education. Later in life Holly spent her time crafting and being a “traveling grandmother.”
Holly is survived by her two daughters Julie Fain of Fort Stockton, and Rebecca Smalley of Poulsbo, Wash.; son Jamie Johnson of Fort Stockton; and five grandchildren, Kaylee, Landon, Teghyn, Kylea, and Vincent.
Holly was preceded in death by her parents Odas Lee and Jacky Ward; younger brother Ricky Dale; and grandson Schyler Lee.
A memorial will be held in honor of Holly at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 709 North St. Gall Street, Fort Stockton TX 79735.
