Carlos Ray Garcia loving father, brother, uncle, son, boyfriend and friend, went to be with Our Lord on Sept. 4, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Carlos was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Raymundo and Erundina Garcia on Nov. 21, 1962. Carlos graduated from Fort Stockton High School. He attended bartending school in Austin, Texas. He worked in Austin and Odessa before relocating to Las Vegas. He was a hard worker, and worked in various locations in the food industry and bartending. Bartending was his passion. He was always willing to listen to his clients and make them laugh. He enjoyed being around people and making them laugh. He also was a very private person.
He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He also loved the Texas Longhorns and Texas Rangers.
He enjoyed watching all the old Westerns, and was a self-ordained political critic. He was a prankster, joke player, and a teaser, but never to do harm.
He enjoyed playing a round of golf with his nephews, Bennie and John. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, and friend. He was a fun-loving man with a big heart. He loved to entertain his family and friends. He was gracious host to those he knew and visited in Las Vegas. His daughter was his pride and joy. He loved her to the moon and back. He loved to take his most beloved four-legged companion, Oso, to the dog park and for walks. He would leave for work, and tell him to take care of the house and his girlfriend.
Carlos loved listening to music, dancing, and cooking. His favorite meals to prepare were enchiladas and tamales. Carlos loved being outdoors. He loved to go fishing and boating on Lake Mead or the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nev. He enjoyed going on trips, and loved taking his daughter to Disneyland and Disney World, with Florida being his favorite. He liked going on cruises with his girlfriend. He loved coming to Texas to visit his family. He lived life to the fullest as if there were no tomorrow. Carlos liked exploring new places.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Erundina Garcia; grandmother Sofia Acosta, and grandparents Josefa and Catarino Gacia.
He survived by his daughter Alexandra Garcia of California; girlfriend Meghan Sellers of Las Vegas; brother Raymundo R. Garcia, Jr.; sisters Felicita Garcia and Lorina Garcia of Odessa, Texas, and Rebecca Carrillo of McCamey, Texas; 11 nieces and nephews; and 23 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Fort Stockton, Texas. Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Interment will follow immediately thereafter at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetary.
