The Fort Stockton Independent School District met for their regular school board meeting on Monday. At the meeting each school congratulated their December Students of the Month. Alamo Elementary named Nehemiah Carrasco, Apache named Roudie Guzman, FSHS named Eduardo Hernandez, and the Fort Stockton Middle School student Ayden Hernandez was selected as December’s Student of the Month. Volunteers and community partners recently completed important recreation upgrades at Monahans Sandhills State Park, installing new shelters at the Willow Draw Campground. This public-private partnership aimed to enhance the visitor experience and support the local economy.

Volunteers from The Great Outdoors Fund (TGOF), Occidental (Oxy), and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) install one of the new shade structures at the Willow Draw Campground in Monahans Sandhills State Park, Texas, this week. Middle Pecos Groundwater District Raises Fines

The Middle Pecos Groundwater Conservation District board on Tuesday approved significant rule amendments, including raising maximum civil penalties for violations, and confirmed it had secured grant contracts worth nearly $10 million for plugging orphan wells. The district board convened its regular meeting November 18, and adopted amendments to District Rules that implement statutory changes mandated by the 89th Texas Legislature.

Paisano Players present A Storybook Christmas

The Paisano Players, Fort Stockton Community Theatre’s youth troupe, will present A Storybook Christmas, featuring performances of An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas and Christmas in the Land of Oz, December 11-14 at the Nelson Street Theatre. This year’s production is an FSCT first – a 100% youth production.
