The landscape of the Chihuahuan Desert is about to get a spirited new addition. On Monday, February 9 owners Richard and Margaret Lonquist officially kicked off construction for the Tall Texan Distillery’s new tasting room. The groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone for Sanderson, as the distillery prepares to become a local “triple threat” by offering sotol, beer, and wine.

The event, moderated by Democratic County Chair Albert Bales and Republican County Chair Die Stigler, provided a platform for candidates to present their qualifications and answer pressing questions from the community.
