Fort Stockton FFA Shines at San Antonio and San Angelo Stock Shows

The Fort Stockton FFA chapter has once again demonstrated its excellence at two major state events, earning top honors at the San Antonio Stock Show and the San Angelo Stock Show. Under the leadership of Crystal Galindo, the lead FFA Advisor and Agricultural Science teacher at Fort Stockton High School, students showcased their hard work and dedication, bringing home impressive results.

A Roman Holiday for Valentine’s

The Fort Stockton Film Society is inviting the community to a special Valentine’s-themed event this Saturday, February 15, with a free screening of the timeless romantic comedy Roman Holiday at the Nelson Street Theater. Starring Audrey Hepburn in her Academy Award-winning role and Gregory Peck, the 1953 classic is a celebration of love, adventure, and the beauty of Rome.

Special Olympics Secures Victory

The Fort Stockton Special Olympics basketball team made a triumphant showing at the Area 18 Basketball Tournament in Midland, securing two victories in a best-of-three series while being supported by local law enforcement. The tournament, which featured a unified team from Midland to provide greater competition, saw Fort Stockton rise to the challenge and showcase their skill, determination, and teamwork.

FSISD Board of Education Reviews Football Stadium Plans

The Fort Stockton Independent School District (FSISD) Board of Education convened a special meeting on Thursday, January 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room located at 101 W Division. The meeting, led by Board President Flo Garcia, addressed several critical agenda items, including the high school football stadium project, a potential refunding bond election, and updates on HB-3 goals.
