When you choose Big Bend Telephone, you’re choosing to keep it local.

Fort Stockton native Jose Romero exemplifies that in the city he grew up in and his family.

The 2015 Fort Stockton High School graduate is one of the company’s two sales leads in the area. Romero has been based in Fort Stockton since starting to work for the company three months ago.

“BBT is one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for. It’s straight to the point,” he said. “That’s the biggest thing I stress to our customers. When you’re calling somebody, you’re calling someone local. You’re not calling somebody across the country or world.”

When you call BBT (800-592-4781) you will get one of three representatives in Alpine according to Romero and they will easily connect a customer to their lo cal sales lead for prices and scheduling.

Romero emphasized it’s a seamless process and service could be provided anywhere from the same day to five days out.

The Fort Stockton native added that the Fast Fiber Internet that BBT provides in Fort Stockton runs down Dickinson Boulevard and Main Street. BBT also provides service to residence.

“What stands out the most about BBT is that we have fiber running through Fort Stockton. All the way down Dickinson and Main Street. We’re focusing mostly on businesses. That’s what we’re focusing on, get more people to BBT so we can expand that fiber into residence,” he said.

Romero plans to progress in his career with BBT in the future and help provide the best internet and phone service in Fort Stockton.
