The Fort Stockton Film Society is hosting “date night” with a showing of the “national movie of Texas”, Giant on Saturday, July 29 at 7 p.m. As an added feature, there will be a classic Warner Brothers cartoon screened just before the main feature.

The number of Fort Stockton Volunteer Firefighters who work in Coyanosa has prompted the recommendation by Pecos County to add a substation of the Fort Stockton Fire Department to the Coyanosa area. “They’ve got about six or seven employees who work in the Coyanosa area,” said county judge Joe Shuster.
