The Arts & Crafts Show awards scholarships to area graduating seniors each summer as students make their way off to college. As an event of the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce, it is organized by a Chamber Committee. The chairperson of the Arts and Crafts Show, Miriam Forgacs, works hard to ensure the event is a success and is very proud to award the scholarships each year. Thank you, Miriam, for all of your hard work every year, and congratulations to this year’s four scholarship recipients, Andrew Ramiez, Aryn Hernandez, Jaslyn A Pacheco, and Melena Ramirez.

Lucia called to announce

Body
PECOS – It’s been four years since Anthony Lucia received the phone call that changed his life. “I had just gone full bore into announcing late the summer before, and to get that telephone call to be the announcer of the West of the Pecos Rodeo was special, to say the least,” said Lucia, a competitor and specialty act before handling the role of rodeo emcee.
Anthony Lucia’s smooth delivery and expert knowledge of the sport is why he’s an asset as the emcee of the West of the Pecos Rodeo. He grew up around rodeo as both an entertainer and competitor, and it’s a natural fit for him to call the action at the “World’s First Rodeo.”
