Erlinda Gonzales Esparza (Momo), 85, of Fort Stockton passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 26 in Fort Stockton.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30 from 1 p.m.-8 p.m., and the Rosary will follow from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home in Fort Stockton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 403 S. Main with Fr. Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eternity Funeral Home.

Erlinda was born in Fort Stockton, to father, Pete B. Gonzales and mother, Annie Urias, on June 19, 1938. She went to school in Fort Stockton, and she was married to Tomas Esparza in 1956 in Fort Stockton. She worked as a retail worker, dental assistant, and substitute for 60 plus years. She was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and dog Rico with her whole heart.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her mother Annie Urias, father, Pete B. Gonzales, son Lionel Esparza, husband Tomas Esparza, daughter Linda Alvarado, and sister Ernestina Bueno.

Erlinda is survived by daughter LouAnn and husband Marcos Tovar, sonin- law Benny Alvarado, brother John Gonzales, brother-in-law Arnold Bueno, grandchildren Viana and husband Orlando Alvarez, Joshua and wife Paula Alvarado, great grandchildren Zachary, Daniella, and Brianna Alvarez, and Lexi Ann and Sophie Alvarado, great-great grandchildren Camilla, Isabella, and Jesus III Bustos, many god children, and her beloved Rico. Pallbearers will be Marcos Tovar, Benny Alvarado, Joshua Alvarado, Zachary Alvarez, Orlando Alvarez, and Angel Rodriguez.

Memorials may be given to the organization of your choice.

The family of Erlinda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Medina, Dr. Rodriguez, PCMH Home Health and Hospice staff, Father Francis, Rosalinda Esquivel and her CNA students, Nancy and the Eternity Funeral Home Staff, Guadalupanas for the meal, St. Joseph office staff for all their help and support. A special thank you to Elva Rodriguez for her service as CNA Hospice nurse who took excellent care of Erlinda. Our thanks to all of our family and friends who have been supportive during this difficult time.
