BRIEF: Annual Pink Out Game on Saturday, October 18

Head coach Gary Garcia said, “We are still looking for donations for our silent auction that will begin at 9:00 a.m. We will be recognizing cancer survivors, those who are currently battling, and honoring those who we have lost. This ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. If you or someone you know is interested in being recognized, please be at the SEC by 9:00 a.m. to sign in. Donations for the silent auction will need to be dropped off by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. If you cannot attend and would like to donate an item you may drop it off at FSHS in the front office during the week or contact me and I will go pick it up.

Panthers Fall to Seminole

After soaring to 42 points the game before, the Fort Stockton Panthers were limited in their district matchup against the Seminole Indians on Friday, October 10. The Panthers fell 59-7 in Seminole, dropping their overall record to 4-3.

Glitzy’s Closes a Chapter

The heart of Fort Stockton’s daily routine is facing a bittersweet change as Glitzy’s, the beloved local coffee shop, prepares to transition to new ownership. Owned by Sonya and David Vick, Glitzy’s has cemented itself as a staple in the community since opening its coffee shop doors in 2021.

Robert “Bob” Walter Baker, born June 3, 1942, in Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado surrounded by the love of the Lord and his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on October 13, 2025, at Calvary Bible Church in Erie, Colorado.
